The Practice of Enchantment: MythBlast Essays, 2020-2024 by Joanna Gardner, PhD, is a collection of essays inspired by the work of Joseph Campbell and originally published in the Joseph Campbell Foundation’s MythBlast series. This book demonstrates that applying Campbell’s ideas to the challenges of life can serve as a way to see the world anew and engage in an ever-unfolding practice of cultivating enchantment. Dr. Gardner brings her expertise as a mythologist, writer, and teacher to these elegant essays, which explore myth as it intersects with life and creativity.
Join us on January 4 to discuss The Practice of Enchantment!
Myth Lit webinars create space for the myth community to read together, write together, and celebrate today’s mythological literature.
“Why not set aside self-doubt and self-consciousness? Why not sing with everything you have and everything you are, as though summoning the sun’s fire to earth?”
